Social Media for A Non Business Business: A Chronic Illness Blog

Here’s the brilliant way my brain work: I am too sick to work.

1. Shut down 6 figure business

2. On disability because I cannot work. Some days some hours perhaps. Maybe. Good luck predicting which day or hour.

3. Start a podcast for my mental health.

Am I capable of letting something grow organically? Can I just put things out there using bare minimum tools and see what happens? Or...

Am I going to spend an inordinate amount of time obsessing on how to perfect, tweak, and maximize my podcast and blog to make sure EVERYONE sees it?

No, I’ll wait. Take a guess or two.

Yup.

Money and time that I could spend on writing, drawing, and creating my books, art, and podcast have been eaten up trying to understand hashtags and google search engines.

The hashtags are the real killer.  Buffer which is $14 a month lets me schedule all of it. But am I really less stressed? Am I spending less time on social media because I buffer all of it? Then $14 a month for over to make very pretty animated posts. Would you click and listen or read if they were a little less polished? $20 hosting for podcast and the $12 a month to host blog. All on fixed income and for a project I do not take money for.

What do you think? Is it worth the time and effort?

Would you be willing to help?

Nope not with money but with sharing. Can you help generate content and focus by sharing our posts and episodes?😊

I think for my financial and mental health I will step a bit away from social media.

Can you let me know if you feel like the word is still getting out?
