A Word On Negative Reviews. No Shade and Please Read

A Word On Negative Reviews. No Shade and Please Read

I’ve addressed this before but I think I might need to again.

  1. If you find me annoying or a lot to take I get it. I am not everyone’s cup of tea. I laugh loudly and often. Appropriate and I have a shaky relationship at best. If this grates on your nerves, hurts your head leaves you both grateful we are not related and feeling sorry for those who cannot escape me on a daily basis I have help for you. Eva is awesome. She is lovely and appropriate and our new cohost. She will be taking over half the episodes due to my decline in health. I also HIGHLY recommend This Is Not What I Ordered by Lauren Selfridge. One of my favorite humans with a voice like butter.

  2. If you want to feel in the know why I will suddenly talk super fast and randomly: either we are having a buffering issue with skype and I am waiting to see if it will clear up or I dislocated something and screaming would really sound shrill.

  3. As for talking about myself. Yup that one bothers me as well when I listen back. I can only say this is a learning activity. I did not wait until I perfected interviewing people before starting the podcast so thank you for being patient while I learn to be a better host.

  4. Why am I writing this? I just talked to a teen I ADORE who is scared to put her art out on the internet because she is afraid mean things will be said. I am not writing this for those who said things I am writing this for those of you afraid to share your voice, opinion, or talent because you are afraid of censure. I will always try to do better and I appreciate a kind nudge but I don’t want someone to be silent because they would rather say nothing than be criticized.

  5. Thank you so much for all of you who listen and help me do better and share the episodes. I am grateful. I am learning. Remember if you are one of the people who is mad because of my stance on issues you are welcomed and encouraged to come on the podcast and talk. I would love to hear from you and find out what your life is like. I am very happy to have open dialogs, but I will NEVER stop fighting for EVERY person to have the ability to live with dignity, respect, and full access to medicine, food, shelter, and education.

  6. If you absolutely CANNOT deal with us or any other podcast out there I have an idea for you: start your own. This is not shade this is an idea. An idea that some of the best things have come from. If you need help doing this please reach out to me and if my health allows for it I will do what I can to help you.

Be Kind. Be Gentle. Be a Badass.
