How Far Is Too Far?
For a chaotic person I do like somethings absolute. If you do this protocol this is your prognosis. Like I like the new eating apps that show you week by week what you will weigh with a date at the end (It is BS but entertaining).
So what happens when you have no protocols? If you rest you loose muscle tone, get weaker, dislocate more easily. If I walk I will dislocate and set my PT back. If I lie in bed I hurt if I walk sometimes it hurts less until I hear a snap.
Use your wheelchair and you loose muscle and heart strength. Use canes and harm the dislocated rib and shoulder. Walk and well, aside from everyone being thrilled you are all better and don’t “need” your wheelchair you have falls, there are the dislocated toes and ankled.
What to do when to get better or stay the same you must take horrible chances at harming your body but doing nothing will absolutely be harmful? How do you walk this line? And if you have clear protocols how do you find balance with following them and having a life?
